It’s Been a Great Ride

The NVC Board has decided this will be the final season for adult leagues and open gym. Since the first $5 membership was snatched from an unaware Brian Haluptzok at Bones’ Bar in Wrenshall in the summer of 1993, NVC has run summer and winter leagues to promote volleyball. By our count, this is our 17th year of indoor volleyball leagues. It has lasted longer than any of us thought it would, and been more successful than any of us dreamed. We are already working on a special, final shirt design and a more-fun-than-ever banquet in May.

We want to thank all the members who have played with us over the years. It has indeed been a great ride. None of us are done playing volleyball, and are already working on alternatives to make sure there are places to play.

NVC will remain committed to the Juniors program and continue to develop future players from area youth.
