The winter banquet is fast approaching. It’s time to get
together to
celebrate a great indoor season, plan for the summer, and hand out
awards — some serious, most not. It has been so successful that
we are
going back to the Big Lake Golf Club, where you “grill your
own.” The date is Saturday, May 17. As we have in the past, the
club will provide the side dishes (baked potato, salad, roll) and the
tip. You will grill your own steak. For $5, the Big Lake Golf Club will
provide you with a 10-ounce steak. They are exceptionally good steaks.
You are on your own for drinks. However, we will have a keg and a $5
all-you-can-drink kind of deal.
We are expecting great weather — we are eternally optimistic
:) So, if you want to golf or play volleyball, get there early. We will
also have a drawing for shirts and other NVC items.
This is such a great place for a banquet as we have the entire room
to ourselves. So, be sure and come—it’s a great time. In order to get a
count for steaks and side dishes, we must have an accurate list of
attendees in advance. Please call Loran (879-0078) and let him know.
Remember, anyone who substituted or played during the winter league,
their friends, Northland Volleyball Club members, families, and friends
are invited.
